The Jets lost to the Giants last night in the annual MetLife bowl. This was a game of where we saw some good things, bad things, and some scary moments for both teams. Ryan Fitzpatrick and the rest of the first team looked really sluggish as they barely got any offense rhythm going against the highly anticipated Giants defense featuring former Jet Damon "Snacks" Harrison. The defense for the Jets looked really good with some injuries like middle linebacker David Harris who left the game with a shoulder injury and didn't return for the rest of the game.
For the first time in the preseason Jets fans finally got to see quarterback Christian Hackenberg on the field taking some reps, and although he had a few hiccups in the game, he did not seem to disappoint in his debut. Although he went up against a group of players who are trying to make the roster, there were signs that he has made some progress after three years of torture for him at Penn State. Hack went 6 for 16 for 105 yards with a touchdown and interception that was the go-ahead lead for the Giants. Like I said, he had some "oh no" moments but overall he has shown some real progress. I don't want to jump the conclusion because it was only one game but I have so much faith in him and he has the potential to be a good quarterback.
