Domonique Wyatt
Guard/Center
Oklahoma Panhandle State University #60
IOG: Who recruited you out of high school?
Domonique: I had offers from Arkansas State, University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, a preferred walk on invite to University of Arkansas, a few D1AA and a bunch of D2's.
IOG: How has your time been at OPSU?
Domonique: My time at OPSU has been good. I've meet some of my best friends & I've become a great player. Coach Russell Gaskamp, who is our head coach and offensive line coach & played at University of Texas, has taught me some much in my time here. OPSU has made me love the game even more and humble myself more.
IOG: How does it feel to only give up one sack?
Domonique: It feels great. It's a great accomplishment that I thrive on. I don't like my QB to be touched and I'm his personal protector. I plan on having only that 1 sack after this season too.
IOG: More comfortable at center or guard? I am more comfortable at guard. I played center in high school and I'll play it here every once in a while. I'm pretty good at both but more comfortable at guard.
IOG: What style of blocking do you prefer?
I prefer run blocking! It's more aggressive and gives me the chance to get into people's chest.
IOG: Who do you compare your game to?
Domonique: I like to compare myself to Chance Warmack. He's a mauler and just dogs people and just one of the best to play the game to me.
IOG: Where do you expect to get drafted?
Domonique: I expect to get drafted in the late rounds. 6th or 7th rounds. Maybe an UDFA contract.
IOG: What team do you want to play for?
Domonique: I want to play for a team that's gonna give me a chance to play. I want to play for a team that doesn't follow the tradition ways of not playing small school guys.
IOG: Favorite team and athlete growing up?
Domonique: My favorite team is the New England Patriots. My favorite athlete growing up was Allen Iverson.
IOG: Play any other positions on the line?
Domonique: I can play both guard positions and center.
IOG: Favorite moment of your playing career?
Domonique: My favorite moment of my college career is playing against Montana when they were ranked #9 in the nation against Jordan Tripp and that defense, I had a great game and got to play in front of the biggest crowd in my career.
IOG: What defensive linemen would you enjoy taking on?
Domonique: Jadeveon Clowney because we came out of high school at the same time and I still believe even though he's hurt, he will be one of the best to play the game.
IOG: How does your size help you on the line?
Domonique: My size helps me out a lot. I'm 6'2 330lbs, but I have the athleticism of a much smaller player. My highest vertical is 30.5 inches and I have a broad jump over 8 feet.
IOG: 40 time?
Domonique: My 40 is a 5.3. I'm trying to get that down to a 5 or 5.1
