How can the Jets get their first win against the Eagles?

The Philadelphia Eagles are 10-0 against the New York Jets since the 1970 merger and are the only matchup left where one opponent hasn't beaten the other. Meanwhile the Jets still have not won a game yet, which comes to no surprise being that they are the 32nd ranked offense in terms of yards on the ground and through the air. To make matters worse, they have also allowed the most sacks given up (13) in a three game span. The defense hasn't been that much better either statistically as they are ranked in the top ten in one category and that is stopping the run, the eagles may have themselves a highlight reel against an unhealthy Jets team who we thought might get majority of their starters after the bye. The Jets have another game where they have the odds against them without their franchise quarterback, but can still find a way to win this game even if it's a long shot.

As bad as the Jets have been protecting the quarterback, the eagles have been just as bad getting to the quarterback. They have only recorded a total of three sacks in three games which is ranked last in the NFL, the Jets will also be changing up their offensive line as they will be putting in two new starters Chuma Edoga (replacing Brandon Shell) and Alex Lewis (replacing Kelechi Osmele). The bottom line is that no matter who or how many changes you make, if there is no communication or chemistry then it will be another disaster.

Despite not being able to get to the quarterback, the eagles have done a great stopping the run as they average 3.6 yards per gain to opposing running backs, while the Jets are averaging 3.3 yards per gain. If this new offensive line can be more effective on the run game at least, then it should allow the struggling Jets offense to finally get some rhythm going. They'll need to get some type of rhythm going considering that they will be starting Luke Falk again and he hasn't gotten too many reps this week because the Jets thought that they were going to get Sam Darnold back .

This could very well be a trap game for the eagles after coming off a much needed win over the Green Bay Packers a week ago. But in order if the Jets to pull this off, they need to get a push from the offensive line to help the offense drive down the field.
