Brandon Turner’s Best Bets: Week 17

Last week we crushed it, going 3-0 and improving our season record to 31-22-2 on the year. As our season draws to a close we have to be wary of matchups where some teams may be resting players and losing motivation with playoff berths locked up. Cleveland Browns (+6) at Baltimore Ravens The Ravens defense is going to slow down the Brown’s offense. Despite Baker’s strides, Freddie Kitchens gameplan is simple and will have trouble against the Ravens big bodies up the middle and competent secondary. Still, it’s hard to see the Ravens turning this into a blow-out and 6 points is a comfortable cushion in what should be a low-scoring affair.

Indianapolis Colts (-3.5) at Tennessee Titans The Colts have been cruising lately. Luck looks healthier every week and their young defense has a bright future. A less than 100% Mariota will struggle to keep up in what is a win and you’re in for Indy.

Minnesota Vikings (-5.5) vs Chicago Bears Ever since Defillipo was canned the Vikings offense has been humming. They’ve finally embraced their run game to take the pressure off Cousins converting third and longs to his star recievers with a porous offensive line. I expect the Vikings will surprise the Bears as they’re also in a win and you’re in scenario.
