Jets look to avoid a three game losing streak in second meeting against the Dolphins

For the next two weeks the Jets will be facing back to back AFC east rivals as they take on the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Café stadium and then come home to the Buffalo Bills next week. This will be the second meeting for these two teams, the Dolphins took the first game back in week 2 after the Jets shot themselves in the foot constantly during that game from penalties to turnovers. Since the last time these two teams have faced, the Dolphins went 1-4 losing to the Texans, Lions, Bengals and Patriots while the Jets are on a two game losing streak after an ugly lose to the Chicago Bears a week ago and are looking to avoid a series sweep.

The Dolphins started out the season very strong but didn't look the same after losing to the New England Patriots, even though they've scored over 30 points against the Bears and Bengals. Brock Osweiler looks to be getting another start for the injured Tannehill and although they are 1-2, he has been a very solid back up, completing 93.8% of his passes and throwing 9 touchdowns to go along with his three interceptions (pro-football reference).

Miami will be without Charles Harris and Cordrea Tankersley on Sunday, Tankersley suffered a torn ACL at practice this week while Xavien Howard, Kenny Stills, and A.J Derby have been listed as questionable for tomorrows game.

The Jets were supposed to be a time building for the future (which is showing a lot of promise) and not supposed to be competing like they have been. Sam Darnold has been doing a decent job with a depleting offense that lost a lot of their playmakers due to injury but it could've been a lot worse. They do plan on getting both Anderson and Enunwa back tomorrow which should help Darnold a lot because his receivers have failed to get open for him.

I expect the Jets to have a better game this time around with both receivers coming back and Herndon starting to break out into a very reliable target for Darnold. The rookie tight end has caught a touchdown pass in back to back weeks and will look for a third. This was a Jets team that should've won against the Dolphins but it was the penalties and turnovers that really hurt them, so they need to win that battle if they want to come a way with a victory.
