The NFC East will be wrapped up on Sunday Night and the Philadelphia Eagles will improve to 9-1. The biggest headline of this game is the quarterback battle, sophomores Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott are compared often, although one is clearly better than the other. Wentz is on another level right now, he is playing the game better than anyone. The 24-year old has 23 touchdown passes, five interceptions, and almost 2,300 passing yards, while Prescott has 16 passing touchdowns, four interceptions, and under 2,000 passing yards through nine games. Although the quarterback battle will be the focal point, it shouldn’t be. Its like comparing Aaron Rodgers to Alex Smith, where Wentz is closer to Rodgers. The Eagles have listed their number one wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey as questionable, due to an ankle injury, but the team expects him and corner Ronald Darby to play. For the Cowboys, Pro-Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliot will be serving his suspension, defensive captain and linebacker Sean Lee is out, to pile it on - starting left tackle Tyron Smith is out. It’s all about timing, and right now the Eagles are a buzzsaw. On defense, the Eagles will bottle up the Cowboys’ running game and get constant pressure on Prescott, forcing him to throw into tight windows, since the Cowboys will have to leave a tight end or running back to help block. On offense, expect the Eagles to pound the ball with Jay Ajayi and LeGarrette Blount which will dominate the time of possession and allow Wentz to use the play-action extremely effectively. Tight end Zach Ertz will also be huge to their success, and expect Torrey Smith or Mack Hollins to beat the Cowboys secondary deep a couple of times. The Eagles are the most complete team in football, and they will be getting starters back onto the field, expect them to blow it open - Eagles win 44-23.
