Let's make some money!
Week three was not kind to us as this may have been the first line up that didn't cash in the now two years we have been doing this Radio show. We are going to bounce back this week!
At quarterback there are a few guys are like… Tom Brady is clearly one. Trevor Siemian would be another. But I am going to give you a young guy who's matchup I love. Deshaun Watson 7300 vs Tennessee. Watson had a big week against the Patriots in week 3 and I think a little bit of that is going to carryover. Tennessee has allowed seven touchdowns through the air in their first three games. I think Watson can get one or two in the air and one or two with his legs. 7300 is a bargain!
At RB one guy that I think will have a big bounce back week is Jay Ajayi but I am not going to give you one that obvious… for my first running back give me Christian McCaffrey 6400 at New England. McCaffrey was one of my favorite starts last week as well and he did a really nice job catching nine passes for 100 yards and still got a few touches on the ground. I think he could put up similar numbers this week and get in the end zone against the Patriots.
My second running back spot it's going to go to CJ Anderson 6900 versus Oakland. CJ's splits are much better home than they are on the road and I really like the fact he's playing the Raiders who give up a good amount of fantasy points to running backs.
At wide receiver I'm going to give my quarterback one of his targets but not the one you're thinking. I'm going to be bold and take Bruce Ellington 4500. Ellington caught all 7 targets last week including a tremendous touchdown reception in traffic against the Patriots. I think he is exactly what the Texans need to complement Hopkins. I look for him to put up some decent numbers this week.
My second wide receiver is going to be DeSean Jackson 6700 vs Giants. Jackson might be the biggest Giant killer of all active players not named Jake Elliott. I think he and Winston grew a lot as a tandem in last weekend's loss to the Vikings. Jackson is a homerun waiting to happen. I love him at 6700 this week.
To round out my wide receiver's I'm going to go with Stefon Diggs 7200 vs Detroit. Averaging over 20 FanDuel points per game this season I think it's time to start mentioning Diggs as one of the top wide receiver's in the game. I think he's under valued at 7200 and that makes him a great play regardless of who is at quarterback this weekend for the Vikings.
Boy, Did I swing and miss at the tight end position last week. I thought Austin Hooper would redeem himself from week 2 and wow was I wrong! This week I'm going to go with a bit of a safer play. There's actually two I really like but I am going to go with the best guy in the league at this position. Rob Gronkowski 8500 versus the Panthers. The Panthers defense is pretty formidable but I'm not sure they have anyone that can stop Gronk. I mean, does any team?
For my kicker you know I usually like to go with the Sunday night kicker. I'm not gonna do that this week because I don't see that being a very high-scoring game. I like Matt Bryant 5000 home against Buffalo. Bryant averages just over 13 points per week on FanDuel. And I think that's about what he could put up this week. I always like playing him when he is home. So give me Bryant for 5000.
There isn't many defenses I like this week. One I kind of like is the Bengals only because they are facing a rookie quarterback and I think they are a lot better than they have shown thus far. The only defense I like more is going to be the Seahawks 5400 home against the Colts on Sunday night. The Colts without Andrew Luck simply don't scare me. The Seahawks haven't been themselves so far this year but I think they right that ship this week. 5400 is the most expensive defense this week and I think it's worth every penny.
So to recap give me DeShaun Watson 7300, Christian McCaffrey 6400, CJ Anderson 6900, Bruce Ellington 4500, DeSean Jackson 6700, Stefon Diggs 7200, Rob Gronkowski 8500, Matt Bryant 5000 and Seahawks D 5400
That leaves me with 2100 of my 60,000 salary cap.
I hope this lineup put you back in the money!
