High Expectations For Three Non Playoff Teams From Last Year

Anything can happen in the NFL, that is one of the reasons it’s so much fun to watch. Three teams that did not make the playoffs last year, will win ten games and their division this year, because of their quarterbacks.

The Marcus Mariota led Tennessee Titans will win the AFC South, beating out the Texans, Colts, and Jaguars.

Pro Football Focus ranks the Titans’ offensive line fourth overall. Not only do the Titans have a tremendous offensive line, but they have two solid running backs in Demarco Murray and Derrick Henry to run behind that offensive line.

The Titans' front office did not waste time with adding weapons for Mariota. The team signed wide receiver Eric Decker and drafted receiver Corey Davis, while retaining their tight end, Delanie Walker and other receiver Rishard Matthews. Mariota has a plethora of options he can get the ball to.

The Titans defense still has a lot to prove, but Pro Football Focus ranks their secondary inside the top twenty.

Mariota will lead the Titans to ten wins.

The Tampa Bay Bucs led by Jameis Winston will win the NFC South, beating the defending NFC champion Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and New Orleans Saints.

This division will come down to the wire, because every team has a legitimate threat playing quarterback. But, similar to Mariota, Winston will only get better each passing week.

Winston has some newly acquired weapons as well. The Bucs signed speedy wide receiver Desean Jackson and drafted tight end OJ Howard, to go along with the lengthy Mike Evans.

Tampa Bay has a young and unproven offensive line that must figure it out for this season to be productive, but the secondary is legit, Pro Football Focus rank them in the top half of the league. Their defensive line needs to stay healthy, if they do they can be a quarterbacks nightmare.

The Bucs and Winston will be in shootouts this year, they’ll win most of them, giving them ten wins on the year.

The Carson Wentz led Eagles will attain ten wins and the NFC East. With new weapons, and year one behind quarterback and head coach the ceiling appears absent.

Pro Football Focus ranks the Eagles as having the best offensive line, and a top four defensive line.

The secondary must galvanize this upcoming year so the Eagles do not depend on their defensive line so much.

All three of these teams have a very bright future thanks to drafting the right quarterbacks.
