Today was the annual New York Jets Green and white practice. No longer an actual scrimmage due to keeping the players healthy but it's something similar. During the practice I have seen some ups and downs but nothing like
We have heard from other reporters on social media. A couple of notes, key wide receiver Quincy Enunwa was injured during 7 on 7 drills and looked like his ankle but he walked to the locker room on his own power. Christian Hackenberg definitely did not hit any reporters, the only thing he hit was his targets as he went 5 for 7 with a TD during 7 on 7 drills in which he looked accurate along with Bryce Petty who went 6 for 7 with 3 TDs. However, 11 on 11 drills were a different story as they completely dominated the offense not surrendering any big plays and stopping the run. The secondary looked great as Claiborne and Williams were locked down. Jamal Adams was not practicing today as Bowles gave him the night off to heal that ankle he injured during the week.
After getting off to a rough stop in the 11 on 11 drills where the defense shut down the offense, they finally got things going that started with Josh McCown throwing a long ball to Chris Harper, then a long drive led by Bryce Petty but the defense came up with the goal line stand. Then it went back down to reality as Mccown threw a pick 6 to rookie safety Marcus Maye. Overall, it was a day of ups and downs as both sides had their ups as long as their downs
