Today kicked off the official start of Eagles training camp, as all the veterans reported today. There was not much contact today as they were in the 10-10-10 format which means there were 10 minutes of offensive drills, 10 minutes of defensive drills and 10 minutes of special teams drills. In all the drills, the unit which is the focus of the drills is set up to succeed.
Practice Notes
Alshon Jeffery is the wide receiver the Eagles, and more importantly, Carson Wentz needs.

He made catching the football look easy and being an Eagles player, that is something very important to say. Although the Eagles like to move the ball around a lot, Jeffery seems poised to catch the majority of passes from Wentz this season.
Cornerbacks
Going into training camp, this position is there for the taking. Today, we learned who are the front runners for the position.

Jalen Mills seems primed to have a very important role in this years' defense, but, Patrick Robinson has some impressing still to do as hungry rookie Rasul Douglas and second-year man C.J. Smith are right behind them.

Terrence Brooks
Beat writers seemed very impressed with Terrence Brooks again. He had a great spring with the team and picked up where he left off today.

Brooks had a limited opportunity with the team last season and looks like he is taking full advantage of his first full offseason with the team. He is challenging Jaylen Watkins and Chris Maragos for their spot.
Play of the Day
Jordan Matthews, who did fully participate today made an incredible catch over rookie Randal Goforth.

There is a lot of talk of a trade involving Matthews, but if he keeps making big plays like that, it would be hard for the Eagles to let him go.
