John Hazelet's Daily Fantasy

Week 6

Well, last week we had some ups and downs. Some of our value plays were productive, Guys like Derek Carr, Jordan Howard, T.Y. Hilton and the Vikings D all produced nice points. I am a little mad at myself though, Martellus Bennett has been one of the plays I have loved all year and with the return of Brady, I should have seen that one coming. Same goes for Sammie Coats. I actually played him in several lineups but I did not mention him here. However, if you followed my tweets and played little heard of Cameron Meredith and/or Brandon Marshall, I made it up to you... We will forget about the tweet with the Paxton lynch stack... I am taking a mulligan on that one. Let’s jump into week 6 and make some money!

QB’s

Top Value play: Alex Smith $6800 @ Raiders: Raiders D has not been as good as advertised and I think Smith will put up some points. The Raiders do not cover the TE well and I like the chances of this one being high scoring.

Marcus Mariota $7600 vs Browns: Last week’s highest scoring QB gets to play maybe the worse team in the league. I do not think he will put up the 30 points he did last week but I still like this play.

Colin Kaepernick $6400 @ Bills: Yes, I went there! There are many reasons I can give you for why this is a bad play but I recall Colin shredding the Rex defense in his first career start against the Jets. Granted, that was a very different 49ers team but I have a gut feeling he plays well and will put up points with his legs as well as his arm.

Derek Carr $7900 vs Chiefs, Blake Bortles $7800 @ Bears, Brock Osweiler $7400 vs Colts

RB’s

Top value play: Lamar Miller $7900 vs Colts: I always pick on the Colts D and I think this will be a high scoring game. I can see Miller going for 100+ and a TD and I like that value at $7900.

Jordan Howard $7700 vs Jags: I introduced you to Howard a few weeks ago and he has been a strong play since. That continues this week vs the Jags.

Jamaal Charles $7100 @ Raiders: This is kind of a just in case type pick. I may not have him in a ton of lineups but he will find his way into a few. If he is healthy, $7100 is an absolute steal.

Cameron Artis-Payne $5900 @ Saints: I have been waiting for this guy to crack the Panther lineup; he did last week in a big way. Playing the Saints D this week, I anticipate him having another strong week. At $5900, he could be the steal of the week.

LeSean McCoy $8200 vs 49ers, Ezekiel Elliott $8100 @ Packers

WR’s

Top Value Play: Michael Thomas $5400 vs Panthers: The Panthers D has been nothing short of awful and I think Thomas is on the come. Hard to pick just one of the Saints WR’s because they like to spread the ball around but I think Cooks should see the majority of the coverage and I like Thomas to get a good number of targets which could equal some big points.

Tyler Lockett $5300 vs Falcons: Kind of a gut pick here. Lockett hasn’t been healthy and I think the Bye week helped that. There is a bit of risk with this pick so again, I won’t have him in a lot of lineups... Just a few.

Cameron Meredith $5400 vs Jags: Last week’s tweet of the week... Meredith burst on the scene in a big way putting up 20+ point’s vs the Colts. I like him to get double digit targets and targets usually equal points.

Odell Beckham $8300 vs Ravens, Doug Baldwin $7600 vs Falcons, Brandin Cooks $7500 vs Panthers, Will Fuller $6900 vs Colts, Sammie Coates $6400 @ Dolphins, Jeremy Kerley $5800 @ Bills, Davante Adams $5400 vs Cowboys

TE’s

Top value play: Jimmy Graham $6900 vs Falcons: I like what I have seen with Graham his last few games. It seems he is healthy and is finally in sync with Wilson.

Lance Kendricks $4500 @ Lions: Super Sleeper, High Risk! Call it a gut feeling here I think Kendricks earned some trust with a couple of big catches last week. I think he could see 7or8 targets which is a nice number for the TE spot, especially if a few of them are in the Red Zone.

Martellus Bennett $6600 vs Bengals, Travis Kelce $6400 @ Raiders, Coby Fleener $5600 vs Panthers

D’s

Steelers $4800 @Dolphins, Patriots $4700 vs Bengals, Titans $4700 vs Browns

K’s

Justin Tucker $4900 @ Giants, Steven Hauschka $4800 vs Falcons, Matt Prater $4700 vs Rams, Nick Novak $4500 vs Colts

Stacks:

Stack 1

Tom Brady $9000 with Julian Edelman $7200, Martellus Bennett $6600 and Stephen Gostkowski $5000 vs Bengals. Brady made his return last week and didn’t disappoint. This being his first home game of the year I would imagine a similar performance, You can mix and match with this stack ad Gronk, Amendolla and Hogan can all be mixed and matched in this stack.

Stack 2

Brock Osweiler $6900 with Lamar Miller $7900, DeAndre Hopkins $8100 and Will Fuller $6900 vs Colts. I have picked Brock to bust out a few times this year and he has disappointed me. If he doesn’t put up big points vs the Colts D at home.. He will be dead to me for the rest of the year. The Texans coming off a bad loss last week should have this group motivated.

Stack 3

This stack is pretty similar but I added a twist.. Ben Roethlisberger $8700 with Le'Veon Bell $9300, Antonio Brown $9700 and Sammie Coates $6400 @ Dolphins: This lineup won big against the Jets last week and I think it does the same this week in Miami. The Dolphins defense allowed Marcus Mariota to be the high scorer at QB last week with 30 points… I think Big Ben could do better.

Bonus Stack 1:

Russell Wilson $8400 with Christine Michael $7400, Doug Baldwin $7600 and Jimmy Graham $6900 vs Falcons: The Falcons have played well on both sides of the ball in recent weeks but I am still not sure if their defense is legit. This will be the true test. Wilson’s ability to throw in and out of the pocket should create problems for the Falcons. This stack will be either boom or bust... I lean towards boom...

Bonus Stack 2:

Alex Smith $6800 with Jamaal Charles $7100, Jeremy Maclin $6900 and Travis Kelce. I think this is a strong under the radar play. The Raiders have allowed points galore and the Chiefs coming out of their bye week have not only had a week to think about the beating they took from the Steelers but they have had a week to get healthy. I think they come out ready to play and put up some points.

Sample Lineup using the Seahawks stack:

QB: Russell Wilson $8400

RB: Christine Michael $7400

RB: Lamar Miller

WR: Doug Baldwin $7600

WR: Sammie Coates $6400

WR: Michael Thomas $5400

TE: Jimmy Graham $6900

K: Stephen Gostkowski $5000

D: Patriots $4700
