This week starts with some Fanduel news. Fanduel has announced that their largest contests on Sunday will no longer include the Monday night game. I have some mixed feeling about this because I love using Monday night players. My hope is that they are doing this to grow their Monday-Thursday night contests. Time will tell…
Week 2 I gave you some pretty strong plays at each position but my value stacks were lacking a little. I hit it right with Jimmy Garoppolo but I had the wrong two WR’s with him, Danny Amendola would have been the right play. My Broncos stack was also lacking but I will blame a Broncos lack of trust with Trevor Siemian throwing the ball down field on that one. He remains a strong play but is a risk until the Broncos gain a little more trust.
QB Value Plays:
Play of the week: Ryan Tannehill $7400 vs Browns: I am not a big fan of Tannehill but I think he has the chance to put up big points at home against the Browns. The Dolphins are 0-2 but could easily be 1-1 or 2-0. I think they win big this week and Tannehill is sure to play a big part in that.
Phillip Rivers $8000 @ Colts: No secret I am not a fan of the Colts D. Rivers is not afraid to throw deep and I think he will do so often in a game that could be an absolute barn burner.
Eli Manning $7700 vs Redskins: I don’t care what side of the field Josh Norman plays on, the Giants are stacked at WR and we know they have no love loss for the Redskins or their shut down corner. I have a feeling if the Giants could score 100 this week… they will.
Other value plays... Dak Prescott $7100 vs Bears, Sam Bradford $6600 vs Panthers
RB Value plays
Play of the week: David Johnson $8400 @ Bills: I include him as a value play because I think he should be over $9000 this week. We saw last week how the Jets abused the Bills D, I think the Arizona offense is head and shoulders better than the Jets. Look for Johnson to put up Matt Forte type numbers against Rex.
Ezekiel Elliot $8100 vs Bears: Zeke seemed to find his grove a little in week 2 and I think he is on the come. The Bears D is sub-par (to be nice). Look for 100+ Yards and 2 TD’s for Elliot.
Melvin Gordon $7100 @ Colts: SHOCKING… anther anti Colts pick... This pick is as much a pick for Gordon as it is against the Colts. Gordon has been a different player this year and with Charger players dropping like flies his touches should only improve.
Other value plays at RB: T.J. Yeldon $6600 vs Ravens (If no Ivory), Giovani Bernard $5700 vs Broncos
WR Value Plays WARNING… There are a bunch..
Player of the week: Allen Robinson $7900 vs Ravens. Robinson has not started the season with big numbers but that’s about to change. While I think this will be a close game I can see each team putting up points. Robinson is very due and I think this is the week he blows up.
Jarvis Landry $7000 vs Browns: I liked what I saw from him last week against the Patriots and I think the Dolphins blow out the Browns. Landry is a very strong play, maybe as strong as Robinson.
Sterling Shepard $6500 vs Redskins: Great value! I would not be surprised if Norman is on Shepard more than he is Odell which could hurt his value but I think Eli will find enough targets to go around.
Cole Beasley $5100 vs Bears: This is a very solid fill in pick. Beasley has been Dak’s safety net and that should continue. He is putting up 10 points each of the first 2 weeks which I know is not exactly over whelming but I think he finds the end zone this week to go along with his 8-10 targets.
Other value plays at WR: Dez Bryant $7900 vs Bears, Kelvin Benjamin $7800 vs Vikings, Amari Cooper $7700 vs Titans, Marvin Jones $6900 @ Packers, Mike Wallace $6500 @ Jags, Stefon Diggs $6400 @ Panthers, Tyrell Williams $6100 @ Colts. Quincy Enunwa $6000 @ Chiefs (If Marshall and Decker both play)
TE Value plays:
Play of the week: Dennis Pitta $5000 vs Jags: Pitta finally looks healthy and if last week is any indication, it looks like he will get a healthy amount of targets (12 in week 2). Look for him to become a go to guy for Flacco.
Greg Olsen $7800 vs Vikings: The highest valued TE in the Sunday games is still a great value. The TE position is pretty weak overall and Olsen under $8000 is a steal.
Other plays at TE: Delanie Walker $6900 vs Raiders, Julius Thomas $6100 vs Ravens, Jesse James $4500 @ Eagles
Value plays at K: Chandler Cantanzaro $4900 @ Bills, Dan Bailey $4700 vs Chicago, Josh Lambo $4500 vs Colts
Value plays at D: Rams $4500 @ Buccs, Vikings $4400 @ Panthers, 49’ers $4000 @ Seahawks
Stacks to consider:
Ryan Tannehill $7400 with Jarvis Landry $7000 vs Browns: The value here is great; it still allows you to have a few high priced players at other positions.
Phillip Rivers $8000 with Travis Benjamin $6900 @ Colts: Anti Colts pick... This game is a shoot-out waiting to happen. It may even pay to add Tyrell Williams $6100 or Antonio Gates $6000 to this stack.
Carson Palmer $8200 with Larry Fitzgerald $7600 @ Bills: The Bills D was used and abused last week by the Jets and I look for that to repeat itself this week. Adding David Johnson $8400 or Michael Floyd $6900 would also be enticing.
Bonus Play:
QB: Marcus Mariota $7700 vs Raiders
RB: Theo Riddick $6400 @ Packers
WR: DeVante Parker $6200 vs Browns
Here is a Sample Lineup using the Dolphins stack. With a 60,000 budget you will be left with $100 if you use the line up with no variations.
QB: Ryan Tannehill $7400
RB: David Johnson $8400

WR: Jarvis Landry $7000
WR: Larry Fitzgerald $7600

TE: Dennis Pitta $5000
K: Josh Lambo $4500
D: 49’ers $4000
