We were half a point away from a 2-1 week but alas the bad luck continues and we fall to 5-10 on the season. This week starts our run back to .500. New Orleans Saints (+1.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars
A lot is said every year about what a brilliant coach Bill Belichick is, and rightly so, but Sean Payton might be the most brilliant offensive mind in football. Every week his team outcoaches and outperforms their opponent no matter who is healthy or under center. The Saints are simply a more talented and better coached team than the Jaguars and Teddy Bridgewater is probably on par with Minshew as far as talent. If the better team is getting points, take the bet.
Seattle Seahawks (-1.5) at Cleveland Browns A carbon copy of the Seattle defense just shut down Baker and co last week by almost 30 points. I don’t expect the same level of domination this week but the Seahawks match up well versus Freddie Kitchen’s struggling squad.
Baltimore Ravens (-10.5) vs Cincinnati Bengals The Ravens are going to win this game, that’s pretty obvious, but the question then becomes can they cover? The key here is that the bengals can’t stop the run and the ravens like to run more than any team in football other than the Vikings. Even when the Ravens get ahead and go into ‘kill the clock’ mode they should still be putting points on the board, giving us a comfortable margin of victory.
