Jets hope to ruin the Steelers playoff chances

The New York Jets may not be in playoff contention, but they can certainly build some momentum going into next season. The Steelers are currently the sixth seed in the playoffs but are not locked in, there is a chance that if they lose today and lose next week they could be out of the 2019 playoffs. The Jets have an opportunity to ruin the Steelers playoff run, but it wont be easy. The Steelers offense isn't anything that makes opposing defenses scared, they are playing with their third string quarterback who hasn't been anything but a game manager. Their defense on the other hand has been one of the best in the league since trading for Minkah Fitzpatrick, this game sounds like one of those 17-10 type of offensive games. As long as the Jets don't turn the ball over and the defense has an outstanding performance, we can take accept those type of wins.

This will be Le'veon Bell's first game going up against his former team after sitting out last year, when he rejected a big contract from them. While he will sit at home watching the playoffs, he could help ruin his former team from even making it. But it will not be easy as he will be going up against the number 2 ranked defense in yard per carry, and the number 1 in takeaways so the Jets will need to be creative on offense in terms of using Bell in both the run and pass. That way you are keeping their defense off balance just like how Buffalo did last week.

The Jets will need to have Sam Darnold be the game manager by not turning the ball over, since week 10 Darnold has only thrown 3 interceptions and 11 touchdowns. They will need another strong performance from him, if the Jets want to win this game they'll need him and a strong defensive performance as well. Just like the Steelers, the Jets are ranked 1st in the league in yards per carry against opposing running backs. But they struggle in the pass game and the Steelers are getting back Juju Smith Schuster and James Connor who will be playing together for the first time since October.

But there is some good news for the Jets as they will be getting back Jamal Adams after he missed the last two games with an ankle injury, and they seem to start getting healthy for once. This team needs some type of spark after getting trolled by hall of famers and former players, so if I'm Adam Gase I would be trying to prove that this team isn't a joke.
