Last week we went 3-2-1 to make up a little bit of ground towards getting back to .500. Obviously we should have known that Ryan Tannehill would outduel Patrick Mahomes and the Jets would suddenly decide to finish a game after losing to the worst team in modern history a week ago. This is what we have on tap this week.
New York Jets (+2.5) at Washington Redskins I think I’ve made 6 or 7 bets on the Jets this season, when I have a hard rule to never bet on their games, and I think I’ve been wrong on every one. So why not double down and do it again? I think the Jets keep their momentum going, especially on defense and win against an equally hapless, but less talented, opponent.
Baltimore Ravens -4.5 vs Houston Texans Lamar versus Deshaun should be a blast to watch but the injuries to the Texans are going to start to take their toll. They’ll be without Fuller and Watt and a number of other key contributors and it’s hard to see them keeping it close short-handed. The Ravens are getting hot at the right time and should take over this conference.
