Eryk Anders, former starting linebacker for The University of Alabama Crimson Tide is used to being under the spotlight and making big plays. His biggest moment to date under the spotlight came with 3 minutes and 8 seconds left in the 2009 BCS National Championship game. The Longhorns had not given up a sack all night until Eryk Anders blitzed in and caused a fumble that lead to a Mark Ingram touchdown that put the icing on the cake of a patented Nick Saben Alabama National Championship
Flash forward to 2017, and Anders finds himself entering the spotlight again, yet this time in a different sport. When pursuits of the NFL didn't work out he reinvented himself into a MMA fighter. With no prior background in any traditional martial arts, he started his pro career 7-0 and has been called up to the biggest of stages in the MMA world, to fight in the UFC against the veteran fighter Rafael Nadal. His debut will come next week June 22nd at UFC on Fox 25 and will be on the fox prelims. We had the opportunity to interview him for Code Green which can be heard every Saturday night at SBnationradio.com at 9pm.
Our interview can be heard here! Be sure to watch his debut and follow him along this amazing journey, into the world of MMA. We here at Interstate of Green are certainly in his corner.
